MyHealth Security and Confidentiality

Our hospital system understands how important it is to keep your personal health information secure and confidential. Accordingly, we follow several best practices to keep your information safe.

  • Establishing Your MyHealth Account
    As we establish your MyHealth account, our staff rigorously follows several steps to verify you are who you say you are. When your identity has been successfully verified, we will complete the creation of your MyHealth account for your use.


  • Secure Passwords
    When your MyHealth account has been fully established, you will be asked to setup a secure and unique password that you will use each time you want to log into MyHealth.


  • Your Health Information is Secure
    MyHealth safeguards your health information, just like your online banking website. This means that no one can eavesdrop on your information while it is being transferred over the internet.


  • No Caching
    In today’s world, many websites save information onto your personal computer. This is supposed to help websites function faster. In order to keep your health information secure, no files or health information are cached on your computer whatsoever. This means that none of your health information is ever saved onto the computer that you are using to view MyHealth.


  • Logging out After 20 Minutes of No Use
    If your computer is logged into MyHealth but you are not using MyHealth, you will automatically be logged out after 20 minutes of inactivity. If you would like to continue using the MyHealth patient portal, you will have to log in again using your unique username and password.


  • Physicians and Nurses
    At our hospital system, only physicians, nurses and health care professionals directly involved in your treatment and care have access to your health information.


  • Routine Audits
    Our staff routinely makes checks to ensure no one other than you has been accessing your health information. If we discover a system breach, immediate action will be taken, including taking the appropriate measures to prevent it from happening in the future and alerting you about the issue.
